“Every guitar is a journey of discovery. Not only do I get to meet and collaborate with amazing people, I get the opportunity to provide them with an instrument that is deeply personal to them, and will live on long after I’m gone.”

For me, carrying on Tom Warner’s legacy with the honor of making Appy’s is a life-long dream!  Each one has it’s own challenges, which is what keeps it exciting!  Even though there are similar guitars, no two are just the same.  Each has its’ own “personality,” and is unique.

I have introduced several “firsts” into the Appy line, and believe the details make the difference.  The body that Tom designed is a constant, and the foundation of the Appy sound.

A few of the these changes are structural and aesthetic.  All  guitars now incorporate a non-adjustable graphite truss rod for neck strength, as well a hand-carved volute on the back of the peghead/neck joint for strength in a high-stress area.  The body also has a fully radiused back for strength (as well as projection).  Additionally, the interior of the guitar gets a wash coat of shellac to help against humidity changes.

Another standard feature on all but the Arkansas Traveler is the addition of the Allen bronze cast tailpiece.  Sustain for days!!  This has been a very popular upgrade.

The quest for perfection exists in every guitar.  Every. Single. One.

Simply put, Appalachian Guitars are the best-kept secret – and best value – in a premium custom reso guitar, bar none!  I hope to have the opportunity to build YOUR custom guitar!
